Moved to Monroe County in this 1860 census.
South of Belmont County. Why? Did they move nearby one of their
children's families? Possibly near Mary Jane's family? |

James Holbrook
Bloor and Harriet Sutton |
| |
For the union between
James Holbrook Bloor and Harriet Sutton, which is mentioned in the
George B. Okey notes about his family, I could find no documents
that put the two together. I have searched census records for
1850 and 1860 for them both and for the children in 1860 and could
not find anything. The children show up in 1870 living with an
Ann Sutton. According to the 1880 census, Ann Sutton was the
grandmother. Which only confirms James married a Sutton. The
first child born (that lived) was born ca.1849. So this
marriage must not have taken place until the later 1840's.
Nothing is known about James Holbrook Bloor before he moved from
Ohio to Pennsylvania and "He mysteriously disappeared during
the Civil War - about 1863. The children live at Pittsburgh"
(George B. Okey notes) According to George's notes, one of the
children was named Albert. It has been found that the child's
name was actually Alfred Sutton Bloor based on records from
Pittsburgh High School, the 1880 Census, and Oakwood Cemetery
(Travis, TX). |

Not sure about the other children in 1910
census. Is this a combination of James and Carrie's previous marriages?
On 1900 were Victory, Carry P., Leonora living with Carrie's first
husband? |
