Hall is listed as head of household in Street Index.  James C Smith is also shown living at the same address.  There is a possiblity that the James C Smith listed might have been Jessie C Smith son of Leola who would have still been a student at this time.

  - Prior to the release of the 1931 Akron City Directory James C Smith takes another wife by the name of Tennessee L.--(?).  On the 1930 Census she is shown living with James C Smith at 794 Roselawn.  James is age 50 and "Tennie" L is shown at age 47.  Her state of birth and parents is given as WV.
  - In the 1931, 1933, 1934-35, 1937 Akron City Directories, James C Smith and Tennessee continue living at 794 Roselawn.  In the 1938-1939 directory the address changes to 414 Matthews apt. 1 and Tennie is also listed separately at the same address.
  - In the 1941 James C Smith is shown living alone at 1065 Joy Ave.
  - In the Akron City Directories for 1943, 1946, 1948-49, and 1950 James C Smith is shown living as a barber working out of his home at 1114 E Archwood.  In the 1950 directory, barber is not mentioned.  His approximate age in 1950 is 77 years old (based on WWI registration).  In looking through the city directories from 1952-1960 James C Smith does not appear again.  In the 1952 Akron City Directory, the home at 1114 E Archwood is shown as vacant.

MONROE--William R. Epperson, 84, of 45 Miami Drive died yesterday morning at Mount Pleasant Retirement Village nursing center where he had been a patient since October.  He had been ill for two years.
   He was born in Montgomery, Ala and worked as a grocer in Canton until he retired in 1965.
   Mr. Epperson is survived by his wife, Mary Olive; and one brother, Robert of Bradenton, Fla.
   Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the Wilson-Schramm Memorial Home with the Rev. Robert Foster officiating.  Burial will be in North Monroe Cemetery.
   Friends may call at the memorial home Monday from 1 p.m. until time of service.

MONROE--Mrs. Mary Olive Epperson, 93 died Saturday morning at Mount Pleasant Retirement Village.  She was a native of Cambridge, OH.
   Her husband William R. Epperson, preceded her in death April 1980.
   Funeral arrangements are incomplete at the Wilson-Schramm Memorial Home.

MONROE--Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Olive Epperson, 93, who died Saturday at the Mount Pleasant Retirement Village, will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church in Monroe with the Rev. William Maxwell officiating.
   Burial will be in the North Monroe Cemetery.  Visitation will be Tuesday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the church.
   Mrs. Epperson , who had been ill since last spring was a former beautician.  She and her husband, William, who died in 1980, had operated a grocery store in Canton, Ohio for 20 years.  She had been a resident of the retirement village since 1967.  There are no immediate survivors.
   Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Wilson-Schramm Memorial Home.

Robert T . Epperson, 81 of Fairlane Acres, Bradenton, died Sunday (July 11, 1982) in Blake Memorial Hospital.
   National Cremation Society, Sarasota Chapter, is in charge of arrangments.
   Born in Montgomery, Ala. Mr Epperson came to Florida in 1967 from Ohio.  He was a Mason and worked as an engineer with the Penn Ohio Central Railroad for 50 years.
   He is survived by a nephew, Jessie Smith of Lakehurst, N.J.
