When compared to the later census records it is believed that the 4 years was probably 4 months.  Note 1930 when asked how old they were at first marriage and in 1910 when they said that they had been married for 10 years.

Below are photos of the Sandercock House located on the corner of Islay and Beach (535 Islay) in San Luis Obispo, CA.  The house is listed on the city's Master list of Historical Properties.  Photos were taken by Tom Kirschner on Oct 12, 2008. Arthur B Vanscoy was one of the carpenters that helped construct this house.  The signed beam (below) was found during an extensive remodeling and historical restoration job on the home.  The general contractor on this restoration project is Ryk Kluver with Frank Duncan being the second in command.  When the beam was found, the contractors researched A B Vanscoy to find out more about him and found this website. The information I have regarding A B Vanscoy is contained on this website.  If anyone else has any information on other homes that he has built or photographs of A B Vanscoy and his family please contact me.
