In the name of God Amen.

I, Jesse Brawner snr. of the County and State foresaid, being in a bad state of health, but of sound judgement and memory, do make and ordain this my last will and testament, in the following manner. Viz, in the first place I leave my body to the grave to be buried in a decent manner at the discretion of my hereinafter named executor and executrix, and my soul to God who gave it, and touching such worldly property as has pleased God to bless me with, I do hereby dispose of in the following manner, that is to say in the first place it is my will and desire that all my just debts shall be paid by my executors and executrix. Secondly I give and bequeath to my wife Sarah my negro woman Harri[e]t during her natural life, and at her death to be sold and the proceeds to be equally divided among my children or their representatives except my daughter Susanna Westbrook, whose children I wish and request to have a childs part instead of her. In regard [to] my other personal property and my real estate I leave to the discretion of Executor and Executrix to sell or otherwise dispose of in any manner they may judge most conducive to the interests of the family, and at the death of my beloved wife to be equally divided among my children except as above excepted as it regards my daughter Susannah Westbrook and I do hereby appoint and ordain my beloved wife Sarah Brawner my Executrix and my son John Brawner my Executor to carry this my last will and testament into execution. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal the day and date first above written.
