the name Alice May Hute. There is a date of Mar 18, 1977 where the
record says her name was Alice May Hute.... on this date. Which means
someone was checking on this record for some reason. There may
have also been something edited. There is no other information.
I looked for a death record in either Ohio or WV with no luck. For Ohio,
1945 is one of the un-indexed years, when it comes to death records. I
also looked for burial records for Alice under Smith and Hute with no
luck.
What is odd is that husband Frank Hute married again Mar 17, 1945.
On his marriage license he says he has no wife living. So was
Alice and Frank Hut divorced and then she died? Or did Alice die
while they were married? This would mean she may have died before
Frank married again?
In the 1950 Census, children Marie and Jerry are now living with their
father. |

Marcus
A. Fagons, age 26, a resident of Moatsville, passed
away unexpectedly on Thursday August 15, 2019 at his
residence. Marcus was born June 28, 1993 in Harrison
County, a son of Ronnie Fagons and Cherokee (Mayle)
Phillips of Philippi. Marcus was united in marriage.

Marcus worked at the Tygart Valley Regional Jail as a
correctional officer II. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding
his 4-wheeler, he enjoyed spending time with his daughters,
family and friends. Marcus attended the People’s Chapel
Church.
Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 220 N.
Walnut St. Philippi on Thursday August 22, from 6-8 pm, on
Friday August 23, from 8am- 8 pm, and on Saturday August 24,
from 8 am- 1 pm. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm
with Rev. Ruston Seaman and Speaker William “Bill” Berdine
officiating. Interment will follow in the Welch Cemetery. |

Leonard R. Cook, 52, of Canton
passed away Wednesday, February 15th, at his
residence following a 3 month illness.
Leonard was born in Ravenna, on December 21, 1959,
the son of the late William and Betty (Smith) Cook.
He was employed as a janitor at Wacker Silicones of
N. Canton, through Mancan Staffing Services of
Canton.
Survived by his wife Sharon (Hackworth) Cook to whom
he married July 29, 1995; |
1 son Leonard (Julie) Duckworth
of Moundsville, WV;
3 step children Adrienne Blose, Leon Hackworth, Sonny Blose
all of Canton;
2 sisters Sally (David) Collins of Philippi, W.Virginia,
Alice (Rudy) Guerrero of Magnolia; 1 brother Eugene (Tracy)
Cook of New Philadelphia; 4 grandchildren, 3
step-grandchildren and 1 step-great grandchild.
Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday,
February 25 in the New Covenant Church, 3202 Cliffmont NE,
Canton with Pastor Ron Mayle officiating. In lieu of flowers

Grave marker has beloved mother
on it. As far as I could tell, Marie did not have any
children. In the 1950 Census there are no children
with her. On the divorce record with Howard Kendzora,
it says no dependent children. May have just been a
generic marker engraver with her name added.
