a wife named Ruth age 22 and a son Steve, 4. Both Ruth
and Steve were born in Georgia. In Ancestry, all 3
members of this family have no associated hints that come
up. In September of this same year, Guy Richard
Loughry marries Ruby N Hedrick. According to his
marriage license with Ruby, his only previous marriage was
with Pauline Bishoff and has his divorce date of Mar
5, 1947 in Tucker Co., WV. So I am unable to confirm
or rule-out that the Guy Laughry in Akron, OH is Guy Richard
Loughry.

Miles D. Loughry, age 74, of
Biloxi, died Thursday, November 2, 2006 in Biloxi.
Mr. Loughry was a native of Elkins, West Virginia and had
been a resident of Biloxi since 1968. He graduated from the
University of Southern MS with a Master's degree in
Business. Mr. Loughry then served his country in the U.S.
Air Force, retiring after 24 years as a Master Sergeant. He
then went on to work in civil service at Keesler Air Force
Base as a training instructor, retiring after 21 years.
Mr. Loughry was a member of the Elks Lodge of Biloxi and the
Krewe of Fantasia, and he was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosetta; father, Guy
Richard Loughry; mother, Pauline Norton; step-dad, John
Norton; and brothers, Guy Richard Loughry, Jr. and William
Glenn Loughry.
He is survived by his son, Michael D. Loughry and wife,
Laura of Vancleave; daughter, Kimberly Duff of Altus,
Oklahoma; half-brother, Johnny Loughry; half-sisters, Linda
Griffey and Becky Lucas; grandchildren, Trisha Ann Loughry,
Lisa Lynn Loughry and Patrick Malboeuf; and
great-grandchild, Jasmine Marie Loughry.
Visitation for Mr. Loughry will be on Saturday, November 4,
2006 from 10:00 a.m. until 12 Noon at Riemann Memorial
Funeral Home, 274 Beauvoir Road, Biloxi. The funeral service
will follow in the funeral home chapel at 12 Noon officiated
by Chaplain Kenneth Hembree. Interment will be in Southern
Memorial Park in Biloxi, with military honors. You may view

Based on the 1910 Census for
Maggie and Marshall, they had one other child that was born
and died before the 1910 Census. Since Guy was their
first child, the second child was born between 1908 - 1910.
I checked both the birth and death records in WV for this
birth using an open search for all names loug* and laug*
with no luck. Might have been a stillborn that was not
recorded. Probable burial location would be Isner
Cemetery since this was where Elsie d. 1926 and Maggie d.
1929 were buried according to their death certificates |

Paula
Rue Simmons, age 63 Years, a resident of Elkins,
passed away Saturday, January 17, 2009 at her home.
She was born October 19, 1945 in Elkins a daughter
of the late Paul and Ruth Hedrick.
Surviving is her husband William E. Simmons of
Elkins, four sons, William E. “Billy” Simmons, Jr.
and wife Teresa, Elkins, Guy Todd Simmons and wife
Jennifer, Tucson, AZ, James Paul Simmons and wife
Jenny, Valley Bend and John Gerald Simmons and wife
Tonya, Elkins. Also surviving is twelve
grandchildren, Josh, Paul, Natasha, Breanne, Cody,
Logan, Danelle, Shalina, Austin, Hunter, Eli and
Lindsey and a great grandchild, Avery. |
Mrs. Simmons was a homemaker, a
4-H Allstar where she served as a leader for several years.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Friends may call from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM Wednesday,
January 21, 2009 at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. A
funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, January
22nd from the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in
the Mountain State Memorial Gardens near Gilman.
The Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins is in charge of the
