Wirt Isner and Oda Dell McBee

- Wirt may be Caroline's or Moses' son from a previous marriage based on the various possible birth dates which all are before the marriage of Moses and Caroline in 1889 . I am unable to find a previous marriage for either Caroline or Moses. Some family trees have the name "Jones" associated with Wirt. This may be because the WV marriage index has Wirt's name indexed as "Jones" instead of Isner. When you look at the marriage license below, it is clearly Isner, but I can see how an indexer may think it says "Jones".

Graveside services for Josephine L. Vostitsianos, 75, of Longview, will be 2 p.m. today, September 9, 2007, at Lakeview Memorial Gardens in Longview. She passed away on Wednesday, September 5, 2007, at her residence.

She was born November 23, 1932, in Youngstown, Ohio, to Joseph and Thelma Jones Caster. She was a retired business owner and enjoyed antiques and gardening.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John; two brothers, Harold Caster and Bobby Caster; and a sister, Dolores Greco.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, JoAnn Jones and her husband, Wayne, of Rockwall, Texas; two sons, Joey Voss and his wife, Pam, of Longview and Jimmy Voss of Longview; three grandchildren, Joey Voss and his wife, Heather, of Keller, David Voss of Longview and Courtney Jones of Longview; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The birth and death register for Nancy Isner are below. Of note is the birth register which says the year of birth is 1892. The death register says 1891. Either the birth register lists births "up to" the end of 1892, or it also lists delayed registrations. This is unknown. What is clear, is when you calculate the age of the baby using the two dates given but use only the year 1891. The calculator I used said 7 months and 20 days, Which is almost dead-on to what the death register says the age was for Nancy, which was 7 months, 19 days. This type of discrepancy is probably why the watermark "Not for Legal Use", now appears on some of these documents.
