1917 - George
Channell passes away, Mar 6, 1917?, Randolph Co., WV.
There is a possibility that this is not the death date or
certificate of George Channell. There is very little
information on this certificate which is usually not the case
when someone dies with a living spouse and a bunch of kids.
On Find A Grave, someone has the death date of 1910. Not
only were there no 1910 deaths of a Channell in Randolph County,
there is no photo of a grave marker showing the year 1910. |

1910 - 1914 - Sometime during
this period, Clay's wife Maggie dies.
I have searched through all of the death records for WV looking for
a record of her death, with no luck. One person on Find A
Grave claims she died in 1913 and is buried at the Israel Church
Cemetery in Kerens. However, this person provides no
supporting documents for the middle name of Wolf, the burial site,
or the death date. There is no photograph of a grave marker. |

- b. 1902, WV Unknown what happened to this Eva.
She only appears in the 1910 Census at the age of 8. I tried
looking at marriages and death records with no luck. A second
Eva was born to Clay and his second wife Fannie in 1920 which leads
me to believe that this Eva, born in 1902, passed away before 1920.

Obituary for Jace Roeder |
|
 |
Our hearts
were broken Friday October 21, 2016 when we learned that
our beloved Jace, 17, had passed away from injuries he
sustained in a motor vehicle accident while visiting his
great grandparents in Indiana.
Our son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and dear
friend, will be sorely missed by all that were lucky
enough to have known him during his short time with us.
Jace was born December 19, 1998 to Holly (Webb) Garrido
and Matthew Roeder. He was excited to graduate this year
from Bountiful High School with his many good friends
and the class of 2017. Jace loved his family very much |
.He had a special, bonding
relationship with his Mother, Father, Step-Father, and each one
of his five adored siblings. He loved spending time with his
family and in return, they loved his fun, joking personality,
contagious laugh, strong opinions and sarcastic antics. Jace was
a gifted athlete, with a very competitive nature, who loved
soccer and playing sports with his family. He also loved hunting
with his Father and friends. He always looked forward to working
with his friends at the Boondocks Fun Center in Kaysville, UT.
He was a natural born leader with endless potential in life. He
enjoyed helping others, was always kind, determined, loved to
learn and push himself along with his co-workers and peers to
always do their best. He was truly an example to us all. Those
close to Jace will miss his big, caring heart, warm smile and
his genuine soul.
We love you Jace, more than you could ever know. We only had you
for a short time, but you will live in our hearts forever.
Jace is survived by his Mother, Holly (Webb) Garrido and
Step-Father, Christopher Garrido; Father, Matthew Roeder and
significant other Kallie Knight; Sisters, Brittany Roeder and
Haylee Garrido; Brothers, Kamryn Garrido, Kingston
Knight/Roeder, and Zakery Garrido. He was preceded in death by
his paternal grandmother Jan Blackwell, his Aunt McCall Garrido,
and Great-grandmother Gladys Lemons.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, October 28th, 2016 at
2:00pm at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 N. Main St. Bountiful,
UT 84010
Immediately following the service we would like to invite all
friends and family to a 'Celebration of Jace's Life' kindly
hosted by Boondocks Fun Center in Kaysville, UT. Three-hour
activity passes will be available for purchase. All proceeds
will go to the family of Jace Roeder.
A second service will be held Thursday November 3, 2016 at 10:00
am at Christ Church of the Valley, Palo Verde Room # 2, 7007
West Happy Valley Road, Peoria, AZ 85383 In lieu of

1940 - Census - Fletcher is
living with Amanda Scott and 2 of her children. They are
listed as lodgers. According to the Census, they were also
living there in 1935. Which may or may not be correct.
Amanda's youngest child is Neva Jean Scott who is 5 years old.
I had wondered if she could be a daughter of Fletcher. The
answer is NO. According to her marriage license in 1950 to
Wesley Vanpelt, her parents names were Dayton Scott and Amanda Day.
Also of note. Amanda is shown on Fletcher's death certificate
as the informant. |

Birth Record for Cletus
Channell clearly shows that Nov 15, 1881 was the recorded
date of birth. Either this date is wrong or the other
month and day dates recorded later are wrong. 1881 is the
correct year.
Nov 15, 1881 was probably the correct date and the family
did not remember or write it down.

Obituary for Daniel Lawrence Poe
Published in Star-Telegram on June
20, 2013 |
|
 |
Daniel Lawrence Poe, 63, resident of Grand Prairie, passed away
on Monday, June 10, 2013, at a Fort Worth medical center from
ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease). Memorial service: 4 p.m. Saturday,
June 22, at Matthew Road Baptist Church, 4601 Matthew Road,
Grand Prairie, the Rev. Daniel Sweet officiating. For more
information, call the church at 972-641-2717. Daniel's hope was
that through donating his body and organs, he would further the
research in hopes to find the cause and cure for ALS. Currently,
ALS has no known cause or cure.
He was born in Portsmouth, VA., on May 15, 1950, the son of
Janet Marie Sanders and E.A. Poe. He attended Baptist Bible
College in Springfield, Mo., and graduated with a
bachelor's degree in theology. Daniel married Carol
Williams on June 27, 1970, in Fort Worth. He was hired
by the Arlington Police Department in 1983 and served
his community in that capacity until he retired in 2011. |
Daniel was a member of Matthew Road
Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon. He was an avid
hunter, enjoyed the outdoors and loved running. He had many
adventures, including him and his horse falling off the side of
a mountain in Colorado. As an example of his strength and
tenacity, he survived the fall unscathed. His struggle against
his disease was just as brave, and we are proud of how hard he
fought.
Survivors: Daniel is survived by his wife, Carol of Grand
Prairie; his son, Jonathon Poe, partner of Eric Kilgore, of
Austin; his daughter, Jennifer Poe of Arlington; his daughter,
Jenette Phillips, wife of Brian Phillips, of The Woodlands; his
son, Jeremey Poe of Arlington; his two grandchildren, Jordyn and
Addyson Phillips of The Woodlands; his mother, Janet Marie
Sanders of Tahlequah, Okla.; his brother; Allen Poe of
Williamsburg, W.Va.; and his sister, Janet Hack of Cotati,
Calif. |
