  Wirt Carper Pritt and Lucinda Jane Stalnaker DID have 13 children before the 1900 Census.  Only 7 of these children lived until this Census.  This is shown in both the 1900 and 1910 Census for Lucinda Jane. Who the 5 deceased children were, is not readily available.

Birth and Death records on the WV Culture website are lacking in some years.  Also, not all births or deaths were recorded and available.  Case in point is the death of Wirt.  Jeeeeez....he was murdered.  And yet, there is no record of his death in the death records.

Below I will list the children's names I have found on the internet, which may or may not be accurate.
   
  Bernice Pritt - b. and d. 1876.  Buried at the Old Brick Church Cemetery, Huttonsville, Randolph Co., WV

- The only record of this child is found on Find A Grave.  There is no marker photo or cemetery records to verify this burial.  I have contacted the manager of this Find A Grave record, Stephanie Hill-Roy, on Dec 22, 2023, to ask her where she found the information. I have not received a reply.  I have searched the WV Culture web site's birth and death records for Randolph County, WV for all last names ending in Pritt, with no luck.  I can only assume that Ms Hill-Roy was using a source not available on the internet such as church records, library records, or a family bible.

Another possibility is that Edward is actually Edmund (below).  For Edmund, I actually found a birth record.

  Birth date could actually be earlier than June 18, 1884.  Look at the birth date for sister Lina in the delayed birth certificate below.  She gives her birth date as Sep 9, 1884.  Which would be impossible if Edmund was born in 1884.  In the 1900 Census, Lina's birth date is given as Sep 1885.  If that was the case, then 1884 is the birth date for Edmund and 1885 for Lina

  There is a death record for this child.  What is odd is the age of 11 months.  If Very had died in Nov 1900 at 11 months then she would have appeared in the 1900 Census with Wirt and Lucinda.  So the dates could be wrong and Very died in 1899 or the wrong parents were written down.  In the birth records, there is a Verry Pritt born Dec 20, 1899 which would fit this child's dates, however the parents listed are James Pritt and Alice Pritt and this child does appear in the 1900 Census with her parents under the name Vira.
